with Nohar Ben Asher
Duration: 3 months (12 weeks)
Beginning: March 16th, 2026
One group meeting per week | 2 hours
Mondays, 17:30–19:30
Also includes 3 one-on-one meetings per participant
Cost: 3,000 ILS
The program is intended for emerging and mid-career artists who are looking to better position themselves within the art field. It is suited for those who are seeking mentorship in how to approach curators or institutions, properly submit to open calls with greater success, or are looking to solidify their artistic uniqueness within the field.
Throughout the program, participants will deepen their understanding of the art field in Israel and internationally, clarify their artistic identity, and develop a strong artist statement while working on a personal artistic project in dialogue with the group. They will learn how to build a professional portfolio, read and submit open calls, apply to residencies, and approach curators with clarity and confidence, as well as strengthen their self-presentation in professional contexts and navigate challenges such as rejection or lack of response.
In the final stage, participants will receive individualized mentorship to refine their project, texts, and online presence (website, Instagram, or PDF), and prepare for presentations or submissions. The program concludes with a project presentation, curatorial feedback, and a group exhibition. By the end, each participant will leave with a refined artist statement, an updated portfolio, a developed artistic project, a personalized map of the art field, and practical tools for professional practice.
The program is led by curator and lecturer Nohar Ben Asher, with over 15 years of experience in the local and international art field.
