Airbrush: unlocking new skills

The airbrush is one of the most versatile and exciting tools in the world of painting. It allows for almost unlimited freedom of action and gives you the ability to paint on almost any surface, from paper and canvas to t-shirts and walls. For more than a century, artists and designers have been using it to achieve unique, precise and soft results that are simply impossible to achieve with any other tool. Whether you have never painted or are a painter who feels the need to rekindle your love of color, the airbrush can open a whole new door for you. This tool is suitable for any style, from hyper-realistic painting to pop, graffiti, illustration or abstract. During the course, we will learn to work smoothly and safely with the airbrush, understand it in depth and know how to maintain and clean it correctly. We will practice all the basic techniques:
• Freehand work
• Using stencils
• Mastering lines, smudges, color transitions and softening
• Building layers and producing effects

The workshop is suitable for all levels: no previous experience is necessary.
 

Instructor: Shahaf Levy (1990), a graduate of Bezalel with a bachelor's and master's degree. He studied painting with the best teachers in Israel and abroad, and is an active artist who exhibits in exhibitions in Israel and abroad and has won awards for his work. Alongside his artistic work, he has been teaching painting for about five years. In his pedagogical work, it is important to him to help students develop a personal language, one that connects classical elements with contemporary research. For him, the encounter with students is a central and inseparable part of the artistic process itself.
