Oil paints have accompanied the art world for centuries thanks to the depth, light, and freedom they allow. In the workshop, we will learn to work with this medium in a clear and accessible way and progress as painters of all levels.
The workshop is based on accumulated experience in classical and contemporary approaches, and connects solid foundations with a living and relevant language. This way, you will be able to understand the medium in depth, develop a safe and clear working method, and build your own personal path.
During the sessions, we will get to know the materials, practice a variety of working methods, and develop skills that will allow you to continue creating outside of classes.


Who is it for? The course is suitable for everyone: those who have never painted, those who have painted with other materials and have always been afraid of oil, and those who already paint and want order, confidence and professional deepening.


Instructor: Shahaf Levy, graduate of the Bezalel Academy of Fine Arts. He studied painting with the best teachers in Israel and abroad, and is an active artist who exhibits in exhibitions in Israel and abroad and has won awards for his work. Alongside his artistic work, he has been teaching painting for about five years. In his pedagogical work, it is important to him to help students develop a personal language, one that connects classical elements with contemporary research. For him, the encounter with students is a central and inseparable part of the artistic process itself.
