Kintsugi is an ancient Japanese art of repairing ceramic vessels using gold or silver, a process that requires patience, precision, and attention to detail. In the workshop, we will delve into the materials and methods used to restore broken vessels, as well as the cultural and philosophical background that underpins this unique Japanese approach. We will learn how to transform the fracture into a focus of beauty and meaning through decoration with gold or silver.
